Welcome to Dittofi

In this tutorial we welcome you to Dittofi & help you create your first app.

What Dittofi is

Welcome to Dittofi. Dittofi is a world’s first hybrid no-code app builder that supports both visual app development and traditional coding.

With Dittofi you can build anything. Such as marketplace apps, social networks, video streaming apps, IOT apps and much much more.

Dittofi enables you to build all of these apps and more, all without the endless time, bugs and costs that come with traditional coding frameworks.

In this series we are going to show you how Dittofi works and help you build the foundation for your application. Let’s get started.

Workspaces

So first, if this is your first time on Dittofi, you will need to create an account. You can do this by visiting www.dittofi.com/website/login.

Once you’ve done this, you can either sign up with Google single sign on, or alternatively, you can enter complete the sign up form.

After you’ve signed up, you’ll get taken to your workspaces page inside of Dittofi. On your workspaces page, you will be able to see all of your workspaces and create new workspaces.

Your workspaces are these white boxes that are on the screen. You can create new apps inside of a workspace.

In Dittofi everything in a workspace is called an app. You can therefore create apps that are landing pages, websites, frontends, backends or full stack apps.

Sharing your workspace

You can also share your workspace with other people. To do this, click on the share button in the top right of the workspace, enter the email address of the person that you want to share this workspace with, select a permission group and click share.

Creating your first app

To create an app, click on the “Add App'' button in your Dittofi workspace. This gives you a set of options to either start your app development from scratch, or to start from a template. In my case, I am going to start from the authentication template. This template includes all of the sign up, login and forgot password functionality which is common to all apps.

Give your app a unique name, and click “Create App”. You can always rename your app at a later stage if you would like to.

At this point, Dittofi is putting in place all of the building blocks for your application. This can take a few minutes, but once it is completed, Dittofi will load up your app inside of the Dittofi Design Studio.

And that is it, your Dittofi application is now ready to go.

What's next?

In the next lesson we are going to learn about the Dittofi Design Studio, how to preview your new app and how to make edits to your app.
